If you want to start a WingFoil course and you are a beginner or do not yet have the basics of Wing or sailing in Foil, keep in mind that your first 2 hours with your instructor will be to learn these concepts. First we will learn to fly the wing, understand the notions of wind and how to use the wing to generate more or less traction, depending on what interests us at all times. Enjoying the wind from the bay of Malaga is something incredible, and you will take advantage of it from the first minute of your Wing class. We can teach WingFoil courses individually, even in small groups. In a private WingFoil class you will have faster progress, having a teacher exclusively with you helping you and teaching you 100%. Keep in mind that in the private class you will have the monitor attentive to you 100% of the time.
WingFoil courses medium-high level
The advanced WingFoil course is the ideal option for those who want to take their experience to the maximum. It doesn't matter exactly what your level is, you can simply book at least 2 hours with any instructor and they will help you with the part you need most.
It is important that you communicate your experience with your instructor after making the reservation so that they can provide you with the appropriate material for your WingFoil level. Normally we first teach Wing without the Foil on the board and then add the foil when you have enough level.

What are the types of WingFoil courses?
The basic package usually consists of 3 classes, 6 hours or so in total (assuming they are private). The minimum and normal is 2 hours per day, although there are students who choose to do 3 hours a day, especially if they are in good shape. To reach a level of total autonomy, the average is usually about 8-10 hours of private class to be able to continue autonomously.
A. 1 person, private WingFoil course In the private WingFoil class is where you learn faster and safer, because you have the instructor's 100% attention. The instructor will be exclusively with you and will completely adapt to your needs and level.
B. Group course
In a class of 3-4 people, the price is much cheaper, it is usually approximately 45% cheaper than the private class, but the learning speed also decreases, because we have to share two Wing teams between the three or 4 of us. It is likely that with this type of course you will need more time to learn, so we recommend attending about 8 hours of class. If you don't want to share wing and learn faster, you will have to choose two different instructors, or book one class after the other.
The maximum number of students per instructor is 4. This class has a much cheaper price but we must keep in mind that we will only use the Wing equipment for half of the class time, although the other half you will be learning from your partner and helping them.

How many classes do I need to learn?
Progression in WingFoil always depends on the ability of the students, and normally you start by doing about 3 days of class, although there are students who can do 1 week or more to have good control before venturing into sailing independently, although It is always recommended to sail with someone else once we sail on our own on WingFoil.
We must keep in mind that we have to learn to use the Wing, use the Wing with a board without foil, and learn to fly in Foil. Once we have all this mastered, normally we would do one of these three main exercises in each class.
Obviously each person is different, there may be students who progress quickly and on the first day they can go to the water with the board; Likewise, there may be students who progress more slowly and in the second class still have to practice a little more on land. In principle, a 6-hour package distributed over 2 hours per day is the most normal, but we could change the distribution depending on the weather conditions and abilities of the students. Normally classes are 2 hours, although sometimes there are students who want to do a little more and take 3-hour classes. Another more intense option is to do two 2-hour sessions in one day with a break between them. Everything as long as weather conditions allow it.
For classes we always recommend semi-private or private because you progress much more in these, the students have equipment at all times and that is the reason for progressing more, a semi-private class consists of two students with a kite each and an instructor to both.

At what time are the classes?
That's something that depends on the wind. We always look at the conditions in advance and we will let you know the exact time we will start classes. In the bay of Malaga we have wind in the winter season from both the west and the east, and it usually starts at 11 in the morning.
On our website, you can choose the schedule of your classes, but keep in mind that they may be subject to alterations because we depend on weather conditions.
Where are the WingFoil classes?
Our WingSurf or WingFoil classes are in the bay of Malaga, specifically at the Club Deportivo el Candado.
As we depend on the wind, in the thermal wind season (June to September) we can go to Los Álamos to take advantage of the days when we do not have enough wind to practice WingFoil in the bay of Malaga.
What is your return policy in case there is no wind?
Since the WingFoil depends on the wind, except when we are learning to control the foil in tow of our boat, we cannot count on it 100% of the days. Therefore, if the wind fails us during class, the class stops and we wait until the wind returns, or we reserve the remaining hours for the next day or when it suits you. If due to weather conditions you cannot enjoy the hours you have paid for, we will be happy to refund your money.
